Ervand Abrahamian is a professor of history at the City University of New York. He has also taught at Princeton and Oxford universities. He is considered one of the leading historians of modern Iran and is the author of numerous influential works, including A History of Modern Iran. In this interview, he discusses the threat of a major war in Iran, the country's modern history, and the historical crimes committed against it by Britain, Russia, the United States and Israel.
