Robert Pape is an American political scientist and Professor of Political Science at the University of Chicago. He is the founding Director of the Chicago Project on Security and Threats and is known for his research on international security, terrorism, political violence and air power. He is also the author of books including Dying to Win: The Strategic Logic of Suicide Terrorism and Bombing to Win: Air Power and Coercion in War.

Aaron Maté is a Canadian journalist and political commentator. He hosts Pushback with Aaron Maté on The Grayzone and has previously worked with outlets including Democracy Now!, Al Jazeera and The Real News. He is known for his coverage and commentary on U.S. foreign policy and international conflicts.
