This lecture by David North, chairman of the Socialist Equality Party (US) and WSWS International Editorial Board, provides a political and historical analysis of the genocidal war now being conducted by the Zionist regime in Israel against the Palestinians. It draws the connection between the contemporary war in Gaza, as well as the war in Ukraine, with the historical struggle for an international socialist program by the Left Opposition, founded by Leon Trotsky 100 years ago in October 1923.
