In conclusion, this book is an elaboration of the work of the Institute for Contemporary China Studies, Tsinghua University. It reflects the intellectual innovation in the authors’ research on contemporary China, as well as the authors’ foresight and predictions about China’s future development.

Angang Hu is the Professor of the School of  Public Policy and Management, Tsinghua University, and the Dean of the Institute for Contemporary China Studies, Tsinghua University. Hu received his Ph.D. (1988) at China Academy of Science and conducted Postdoctoral research (1991-1992) at Yale University. He received the Honorable Doctorate at the Russia Academy of Science’s Institute of Far East Studies in 2004. Professor Hu is one of the leading experts in China Studies. 

Yilong Yan is member of the Institute for Contemporary China Studies, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China.

Xiao Tang is member of the School of Public Policy and Management, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China.

Shenglong Liu is member of the Institute for Contemporary China Studies, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China.
